The company has launched a new website that allows users to buy tickets directly from Spotify, rather through an intermediary like Ticketmaster, MusicAlly reports.

We know verification and artist playlisting are important to you, so we’ll keep working on improvements and new features that make it even simpler. Spotify appears to be entering the market for live concert tickets. While we’re working as quickly as we can, you may not see the verified check mark on your page until early May.

You’ll use your personal Spotify account to create and edit artist playlists. As of early May, you can add any playlist to your artist profile using Spotify for Artists - the same way you add an artist’s pick.You no longer need 250 followers to get verified. Spotify for Artists is available for all artists and their management teams.They handled it for me in a couple of days and even moved my followers. All you can do is wait is what theyre telling me. To get verified, you’ll need to get access to Spotify for Artists. Ive been back and forth with both apple music and distrokid since March of this year.

What this means if you’re not verified yet: Note: Performance royalties take a really long time to report, so I cant verify the results first hand yet, but I will update it when I know more. You’ll still use your personal Spotify account to create and edit them.

As of early May, you’ll need to use Spotify for Artists to add and remove playlists from your artist profile.

All the playlists on your artist profile will stay there.

Once you have your Spotify Artist URI follow. Under the Stores tab, find the Spotify tab and open it, there you’ll find the Artist URI you need after 1 week you uploaded your release with us. Choose the release assigned to the Artist Name you want to claim on Spotify.

Whether you use Spotify for Artists or not, you’ll keep your verification. After you upload your release, go to My Releases in your Magroove account.

What this means if you’re already verified: You and your team can post playlists, update images, and make picks all from the same place - simplifying how you manage your artist profile. Artist playlisting is also being integrated into Spotify for Artists. As an artist, you no longer need to fill out a separate form to get verified on Spotify - just get access to your profile in Spotify for Artists and you’re all set.
